Community Cohesion

community cohesion.pngEthnic Minority Welsh Women Achievement Association (EMWWAA), in collaboration with the Welsh Government, is holding a music and culture event to promote Community Cohesion within and across Communities in Wales on 2nd July at 2 pm at the City Hall.

This event will aid in bringing together diverse grassroots organisations/communities to celebrate our diverse cultures and highlight the importance of community cohesion within and across communities by celebrating our differences and raising the profile of our diverse communities through the lens of Community Cohesion.

Each community (African, Middle Eastern, South, and East Asian and British) participates in a music/cultural exchange through dance, music and cultural activities. We propose to have stalls to showcase the cultures of different countries. We will also hold interactive classes on Bollywood, African, Chinese, and Welsh dance, facilitating the knowledge on the exchange of culture.

Some communities have health issues, including diabetes, obesity, stroke and heart disease; we propose to raise awareness of the cause and prevention of these conditions in workshops.

We are looking for artists who could perform at this event, volunteers to help us promote this event and sponsorship for food, audio-visual support, marketing, and payment for the artists.
